## Ride-Along Request & Waiver of Liability

**Notice to Applicants:** You must be **18 years of age** to participate. Ride-alongs are limited to two per year unless authorized by the Chief of Operations. A comprehensive background check is required.

**Your role as a rider:** Remain in the patrol vehicle during dangerous/sensitive situations. Comply with all officer directions. Do not operate equipment or involve yourself in incidents. Do not enter private property without owner permission.

**Dress Code:** Business casual required — no jeans, shorts, sweatshirts, or t-shirts. Males: dress slacks/khakis/tactical pants with a collared polo. Females: dress slacks/khakis/tactical pants with a collared polo or appropriate blouse.

Carrying a firearm is strictly prohibited. An officer may terminate the ride-along at any time.

### Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk

I, the undersigned **("Rider")**, request permission of **Paladin Public Safety** and its officers ("Company") to ride along with a Paladin Public Safety officer in a Company-operated patrol vehicle. The Rider recognizes and acknowledges the inherent risk in riding in a patrol vehicle and voluntarily assumes such risks. The Rider recognizes and acknowledges that no insurance is provided by the Company, either for property damage or personal injury, which may be sustained as a result of riding in a patrol vehicle.

In consideration of the mutual promises and covenants of the parties, the above-named Rider hereby acknowledges and assumes the risk of riding in the Company vehicle and hereby releases, discharges, and acquits Paladin Public Safety, its owners, representatives, employees, agents, and officials of any liability for damages of any nature or destruction that may result from riding in the Company vehicle.

The Rider further warrants and agrees that no action of any nature shall be filed, maintained, or litigated against Paladin Public Safety, its owners, representatives, employees, agents, or officials resulting from such ride-along.

In consideration of the above covenants and warrants, and at the express request of the Rider, and relying solely and completely upon the Rider's covenants and warranties, Paladin Public Safety grants the Rider privileges of riding along with an officer in a Company-operated vehicle.

It is understood that the covenant not to sue shall not operate to release any claims these parties may have against any third person, persons, or corporations responsible for any such damage, injury to, or death of the undersigned individual.
